How do you make a video of visiting Paris without it only being about 'Paris'?
Paris is the second most visited city in the world. and the most visited city in Europe with over 17 million international visitors per year. That can make it a pretty crowded place.
Is Paris worth visiting? Without a doubt.

Our Paris will never be your Paris. And it doesn’t have to be.
There are no rules or must dos. You need to find what about Paris makes it special for you.
We will not pretend that this video shows all there is to see and do in Paris. It’s not that kind of video.

WHERE WE STAYED
We considered parking our motorhome outside of the city’s Low Emission Zone limits and staying in the city itself – but hotel rooms can start at 200 Euro per night! Instead we chose to stay for 7 nights at the comfortable Camping Sandaya in Maisons-Laffitte. The ACSI off-season rate was EUR16 per night which was excellent value.

GETTING AROUND
From Maisons-Laffitte it was a 20 minute train ride to Charles de Gaulle – Étoile station at the Arc de Triomphe) with the RER1 line. A transfer to metro line 6 will take you to Place du Trocadéro in 4 minutes which is just across from the Eiffel Tower. The best value for us was to buy a Navigo card and load a week pass on it. The pass costs EUR22.80 and give unlimited access across all zones on all modes of transport. Note that it’s only valid in cycles from Monday to Sunday.

The Batobus hop on / hop off boat on the River Seine is unbeatable in terms of value. If you already have a Navigo card the 48 hours pass is only 15 EUR. It offers a 2 hour round-trip loop from the Eiffel tower. https://www.batobus.com/
