'We live in a democracy': Warren Mundine calls on Australians to respect 'No' result
‘No’ campaigner and Indigenous advocate Warren Mundine says outcome of the referendum on Saturday must be respected, following criticism of the vote.
“You must respect the Australian people and the choices they have made," Mr Mundine told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“It may hurt you, you may not like it but we live in a democracy and we’ve got to start getting back to that.
“These blokes cannot understand why people voted against them.
“The Australian public just smashed them and said, ‘we want nothing to do with this Voice’ … what we want is the systems that we have now to actually do their job.”
