Nearly dying from Covid-19: The Physical & Psychological Impact. Coronavirus Survivor Tara Langston
#covid #coronavirus #pandemic
This is an episode where Dr. Becky Spelman interviews people about their extraordinary life stories.
In today’s episode Dr. Becky speaks to Tara Langston, a Coronavirus survivor who didn’t think she would make it when she was taken into an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Tara was a 39-year-old, gym-going, mother of two, she explained in a distressing video she posted online that she felt like she had “glass in her lungs” whilst she was being treated for Covid-19. Tara pleaded in the video for people to take the virus seriously and used herself an example of a healthy, young individual who ended up in hospital for 9 days and in ICU for 3 days.
This is Tara’s story where she discusses what she experienced as a result of having Covid, it’s not a therapy session however it does cover some of the Psychological impact that she experienced. Some people may find the content of this interview distressing.
