COVID-19 Survivor Story: Janet Mendez
In our series From The Frontlines, our physicians have documented their experience on the frontlines of COVID-19. In this special edition video, Janet Mendez, a COVID-19 patient, captures the emotional moment of being discharged from Mount Sinai Morningside, after being in the hospital for 3 weeks. She arrived on March 25 with severe respiratory failure, and was intubated for 10 days. The cardiovascular critical care team got her breathing on her own again. Dr. John Puskas and Dr. Mekeleya Yimen call her case a miracle!
