Meaning of IT WEARS YOU OUT - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

READ ALONG TO PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH AND TO LEARN THE MEANING OF IT WEARS YOU OUT: So I was talking to a friend of mine this morning and he said that he had just gotten back from a trip and he was really, really tired. And I said to him, yeah, travelling, it wears you out. In English when we say something "wears you out" it means that it makes you tired. So travelling is a good example. When you go on a long trip a lot of times because you're out walking every day, you're out looking at stuff every day, travelling can really wear you out, and it can make you quite tired. We can also say this about people. People can wear you out. So maybe you have a friend or a relative who's very, very excited all the time and has lots of energy, and when you spend time with them it wears you out. So you could say that people can also wear you out.
