How to keep the shaft key from falling out of a pressure washer pump

The square motor shaft key kept falling out of my Troy-Bilt pressure washer with the AR (Annovi Reverberi) style pump. This would leave me with a running motor but no pressure. I install a metal collar over the top of the pump to block the key from coming out.
