Installing an aftermarket cabin air filter in a 2004-2012 GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado

There's no cabin air filter on these trucks. There's just a big hole. I got tired of crap getting stuck in the fan and so I designed my own adaptor to accept paper air filters. You can buy the adaptor here: https://ebay.us/x7ohx0

If you need replacement filters, I've confirmed fitment for the following:
TYC 2-pack ($10): https://amzn.to/3h8mUCZ
Purolator One 2-pack ($20): https://amzn.to/3A4sY8c
ATP 2-pack ($11): https://amzn.to/2U9mtjL

If you ordered after July 25 2021, I widened the filter housing to accept the following (in addition to above):
ACDelco Gold 2-pack ($20): https://amzn.to/3kTRweL
AirTechnik w/Activated Carbon 2-pack ($13) : https://amzn.to/2VcF92D
Premium Guard 2-pack ($15): https://amzn.to/3iLoonj
Potauto w/Activated Carbon 2-pack ($8): https://amzn.to/3lT67rH
Ecogard 20pack ($15): https://amzn.to/3kaRduk

Version 2 was released March 14 2022. Now you can insert the filter at a downward angle, and then drop the driver side down and secure it with just a single clip. Should be a lot easier to install for all the large-handed people out there.

I get a small portion of the sale if you use my links above. If you just want to make your own using a metal screen, you can see my old (unlisted) video here: https://youtu.be/ec_t3NUofOM
