WILD CAMEL RACE in EGYPT Sharm el Sheikh, Safari Zone

Today we set out into the desert safari area of Sharm El Sheikh! Mainly known for its adventurous breathtaking trips into the desert by quads or buggies, it now has a newly built stadium for international camel racing!

Camel racing is a traditional sport most popular among the bedouin tribes of the Arab world, including those who reside in Sinai. The impressive 6 KM race track and stadium which can host over 500 spectators was built at a value of nearly 6 million USD and covers over 380 hectares.

The races are intended to become more frequent to preserve the bedouins tradition and attract tourism at the same time.
