Finding deserted colonial sites exploring deep in the New England woods cellars & stone walls

If you want to find old sites like colonial cellars and history you have to get out and hike hike hike. We go exploring a big piece of public land here in NH looking for home sites where New England settlers built their farms in the 1700s 1800s. Follow the rock walls and read the landscape and if you search long and hard enough you will find something. These old foundations way out in the woods have been deserted hundreds of years and the signs of life still remain in the land these people cleared and the rocks they stacked clearing the land.
