Metal detecting Major Robert Rogers home site Rogers Rangers NH

Dig of a lifetime getting the honor of metal detecting for relics at the childhood homesite of Major Robert Rogers. In Dunbarton New Hampshire all that is left of this mid 1700s home is the cellar hole. We were invited there to see what we could find in the ground with our metal detectors at this historic site. Being that it was raided in the 1960's by people digging and looking for anything of value it was pretty difficult to find anything, but we did ! The original home was burnt down in 1746 during an Indian raid and the Rogers family left for several years before returning to rebuild here.
Major Robert Rogers gains his fame From the era of the French & Indian war were he and his Robert Rangers survived insane battles and condition here in New England that made them the legends they are today.
