We found a lost colonial site metal detecting & dug USA continental army artifacts & 1700s coins

At the top of a small mountain we discovered a lost to history homesite lived upon by a veteran of the American revolution. We hiked miles out to this deserted farm location and found the old cellar and footprint of where this small humble home once was. With our metal detectors we started finding items from the 1700s like buttons, spoons, and knew we had found a site from the 1700s. While working and digging inside the footprint of the house near the chimney stack a signal on the Garrett ATGOLD found me a USA continental army button made of pewter . An amazing find and so rich in American history to think this was on the uniform of a member of Washingtons army.
The to top it off a coin is dug up and found as well and it turns out to be a copper British farthing from 1746 and in fact one of the oldest coins we have ever dug.
