As the foremost gallery that specializes in abstract art, PARKVIEW ART Hong Kong is proud to be working with Mao Lizi. Born in 1950, Mao Lizi lived through the Cultural Revolution. During which he developed his skills as an artist in hyper-realism. Shortly after the end of Cultural Revolution, Mao Lizi joined the Stars Group, which championed individuality and artistic freedom. It is during the 1980s that Mao Lizi began to experiment with abstraction. His earlier abstract paintings are akin to action paintings that consisted of large splashes and grand gestures. Mao Lizi's most recent abstract works exude a sense of maturity and Chinese sensibility that only a true master is able to obtain.
