040824 MULTI SHOOTING IN AT PORTER SPORTS BAR

Just before 1am, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received a call for a shooting with multiple victims at the Mexican House Sports Bar on Old Sorters Road and FM 1314. Units with Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office, and Roman Forest Police responded to the scene. As they were arriving a silver Dodge Charger fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Units stopped it a short distance down FM 1314. The driver was detained, he was transporting the passenger to Kingwood Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. Another male was also located with a gunshot to the elbow. EMS transported the critical gunshot wound to Kingwood. Units arriving on the scene were informed that one male was fleeing into the woods. It was not known if he was the shooter. Atr least three vehicles in the parking lot had broken front windshields from large landscape rocks. Kingwood Hospital was put on lockdown where it remains as the shooter has not been located and the scene is a short distance from the hospital. According to a witness, at least five believed to be construction workers were outside in a fenced-in patio with an outdoor pool table when an argument started and shots were fired. Detectives are now on the scene investigating. This club has been the scene of other shootings, one where a male was shot in the buttocks several months ago.
