Gigafactory Texas on 19 April 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
For today’s video, I thought I'd try a night flight and then continue into the morning to get a different view of Giga Texas. We get to see a long stream of cars entering the site from the highway and the west part of Harold Green road and see that work was already underway in the early Monday morning. Also, the day began with a beautiful sunrise that gave some great shots of the factory in literally a different light.
I also wanted to take the opportunity and do a quick congratulatory message for the most famous "drone", the NASA Ingenuity "drone" that performed the first powered aerodynamic flight on another world! Awesome!

Here are some highlights from today's video:
- Many trucks were already lined up and waiting to deliver more materials and equipment, including a huge metal pipe with what appeared to be rectangular HVAC ducting attached to it in two different locations.
- In the 18 hours since my previous video, three more HVAC ducting and large vents were installed on the roof of the paint shop (north end)
- More final roofing insulation and waterproof membranes were beginning installation on the BIW and the west structures.
- The casting machine area had another slab concrete pour underway, this time in the area between the paint shop and the casting machine structure. Also, more assembly work on the 2nd Giga Press/casting machine was underway this morning.
- GeoPier work has shifted to a few new locations in the northeast area (just north of the existing casting machine structure). Also, new footings, including for the perimeter grade beam were being constructed this morning in this area.
- A new security entrance point (with what appeared to be turn styles) was being used on the east side parking area for workers to formally enter onto the site. The large parking lot also had fencing around it to direct everyone arriving to these security points.
- On the far west side across the highway, more land clearing, hill removal and overall levelling operations were underway, with many of the vehicles using headlights as well as some portable light stands.
- Cranes were already at work moving many steel beams onto the steel structures in the northwest and southwest foundation areas. This indicates both structures are being expanded quickly and with a total of 11 cranes simultaneously working, the speed of steel erection should be quite brisk this week.
- Finally, we take a closer look at a lot of materials in the far east stockpiling or staging area. We see what appear to be the prefabricated yellow/tan panels that are being installed on the east side of the west steel structure, in the open area where they are excavating a large pit (just south of the paint shop). Other materials in this area appear to include large rolls of the weatherproof roofing final layer, stacks of what appeared to be several steel parts (unknown purpose) and more wrapped materials.
