Gigafactory Texas on 28 December 2020! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Foggy, low clouds but temperate weather following a holiday slow period made this an incredibly busy day all across the site!
This was by far the most semi-truck delivery day of steel and concrete materials, crane parts and other service vehicles I've seen at Giga Texas. There were so many semi's arriving on site that they were parked three abreast and backed up to the highway when I arrived. Fortunately, this means a semi carrying one very long steel column was parked right by where I launch the drone, so I got some really good closeups and used my hand for scale on just how massive these things are. I hope you enjoy seeing something this tangible and then see one just like it being installed!

Highlights of today include:
- Busiest day of materials deliveries included a closeup of one very long steel column with closeups for scale. Trucks were arriving so quickly there was a line of them stretching from west of the steel structure all the way out and around to the highway.
- More exterior wall base and footing work was going on at the west exterior wall and 40+ loading dock leveler frames were in the same area, highly suggesting this exterior wall will contain many cargo loading/unloading docks (which may signal a building design change away from a central "roadway for cargo" as was originally planned
- GeoPier materials (gravel) was being delivered via many trucks, so this signals the resumption of GeoPier work in the extreme south of the western foundation
- We look at the southern-most part of the concrete structure and point out that there is another column yet to be installed and this may explain the odd appearance of the south western-most column we discussed in the previous video
- The roof beam that was removed in order to add height to the one column that was visibly too short was re-installed and work on placing the "Double-T" roof segments was getting underway at the time of filming
- About 95% of the former "Big Pit" has now been filled in with compacted fill dirt
- The last major area requiring concrete for the isolation foundation is just about ready for the concrete pump trucks to arrive. There will still be ground/foundation concrete that will be added later, but the main isolation foundation construction is very nearly complete
- The steel structure is growing longer to the south and wider to the west this morning and we get to watch nearly an entire section of floor beams installed as a time-lapse
- More roof segments/corrugated metal has been completed as have more floor sections as well. More columns (one exactly like the one we got close-up photos of earlier) were being installed further widening the structure to the west
- Five of the old contractor trailers have now been moved to the east switchyard area, leaving only one left to be moved. Preparations to do so were underway at the time of filming
