WWII Soviet light tank jack restoration
This jack was produced in the 1930-1950 and was used during the Second World War on Soviet trucks ZIS-5 and T60 and T70 tanks. You can see it on this photo http://bronetehnika.narod.ru/t70/t70_109.jpg
over the left track behind a shovel.
I got it in a not very bad condition, only the back leg was broken off.
It was functional but needed to be cleaned, lubricated, and painted.
Restoration process:
First I took apart the jack. At first, I washed off the dirt with soapy water, there was a lot of dirt inside.
Then I sandblasted all the parts and handled them with a wire brush and grinder.
Something was previously welded on the back leg of the lower grip and broken off. Then I powder paint the body and the handle. I buried the inner parts and assembled all together.
This restoration took me about 10 days.
