Lots of people try to whip together some kind of vehicle for fun on YouTube videos, but they're not sure how to propel it forward most effectively. So they end up resorting to an easy to use all-in-one solution: the leaf blower. Sometimes that's one of the best choices, but sometimes that's just the quick and easy choice. If your building a hovercraft you need to be moving the air so leaf blowers seem fairly reasonable. Even if each one is not all that powerful. So it's key to get as much power out of them going towards the goal as possible, and that's where I've seen the same mistake over and over again. Including in a recent video on Fowler's Makery and Mischief: the Home Depot Hovercraft. Spoiler: Point the leaf blowers more Backwards to go more Forwards. Yea, that's pretty much it LOL.
Because everybody freaks out about everything this days I feel like I have to clarify. I don't think he's dumb or was being dumb. Not at all, in fact, I can tell he studied up alot, more than most, to make this work as well as it did, and it did work! Just more slowly than it could have done, he just made a common mistake, no big deal and no shame. That goes for everybody who's made that same mistake too.
