Eurovision 1983 - Norway
Jahn Teigen (with significant help from wife Anita Skorgan) performing "Do-Re-Mi", the Norwegian entry at the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest.
Five years after his notorious appearance at the 1978 contest with "Mil Etter Mil" provided a truly classic ESC moment (and the first ever nul-pointer under the "12 points" voting system!) and a year after he and Anita had made up for it with a decent showing for their 1982 entry "Adieu", Jahn once more returned to the scene of the crime with this cute musical-like number and this time did even better, achieving Norway's first top-10 result in a decade! I'm not sure whether it deserved to be so high in such a strong year (the best of the 80s, IMO), but I'll admit to having a soft spot for this seemingly silly little tune - in fact, I find both the song and the performance to be irresistibly lovable (esp. the kiss with Anita!).
