Competence Area VI: Food Security

Global food security - one of the greatest challenges of our times.

In view of a constantly growing world population, climate change, limited resources and increasing water scarcity, global food security calls for interdisciplinary solutions.

The FOOD SECURITY Competence Area at the University of Cologne is developing networks and structures to this purpose and facilitating the necessary transfer of knowledge.
