A rainbow-filled sky to start orphaned albino elephant Khanyisa's day out foraging her new herd.

Samson, one of Khanyisa's dedicated carers, ensured that Khanyisa had two blankets on at the early start of the chilly morning. He had just spent the night sleeping with her and Lammie, and soon he would head off to rest for the day.

It wasn't long before it was time for Khanyisa to take her daily walk with her herd, and poor Samson battled to keep her still enough to remove the blankets!

Khanyisa greeted Adine, and with much glee, she sped to open the gate and make her cute and hasty little way to the herd.

During their walk, you can see how closely Khanyisa follows Lundi, never leaving her side or staying directly behind her, veering as Lundi does. Once settled in an area where they would forage for the morning, Khanyisa ventured a bit and had a lovely, relaxing morning, browsing and foraging. Keep an eye out for the rainbow above their heads in one scene with Timisa and Tokwe!

Shepherd, one of Jabulani's elephant carers, shares some info about the Knobthorn acacia bark, and Adine gave Khanyisa her bottle, with Tokwe and Lundi overseeing each sip!
