Another family walk for Khanyisa, the brave albino elephant calf.

That is what it felt like for Adine and her team, as they took Khanyisa out for her second walk into the nature reserve with her new family — joined once again by Lundi, Jabulani, Setombe, Klaserie, Somopane, Bubi, Zindoga and Sebakwe.

It was another adventure, side by side, getting used to one another's rhythm and pace, and best of all, Khanyisa learning to be a bold and bright young elephant, the way that nature intended.

Watching her stop and forage amongst her elders, was so sweet, seeing how much she trusts those around her already, and looks to them for guidance and reassurance.

Soon they headed back to the stables where they enjoyed some water and fresh bana grass. Lundi walked with Owen to say goodbye to Khanyisa at the orphanage, where Herman was ready for her mid-morning bottle.

All is well in Khanyisa's world.
