Run Small Ram Pump Directly from a larger Pump Waste Valve

I was asked to find out if it was possible to run a small pump directly from the waste valve of a larger pump. So in this video I am going to try that out and see what happens! The 1" ram pump needs around 6gpm to operate. The 1/2" pump only needs 2gpm. This means that the larger pump should have plenty of water to feed the smaller one.

If you are going to run pumps like this I would recommend using a catch tub under the larger ram pump so that its less likely to have air in the drive pipe.
