VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] Introduction
[1:12] The acid dye colors
Main colors - Hyacinth and Sage Leaf
Minor Colors - Sand Dune, Valentine Blush, & Peach Blush
[2:18] The yarn
presoaked in plain tap water with no acid for a couple of hours
[2:35] The dyebath setup & dyeing plan
300 g of yarn - arrange them a bit bunched up.
[3:47] Dyeing the yarn
the yarn mop has been presoaked with acid, the main yarn has no acid in it yet.
Flip the yarn over and dye the other side before squishing the yarn at all
[8:37] Spreading out the dye
Add 8 cups of water (still no acid) and start pressing and squeezing the yarn to move the colors through.
Add 4 t white vinegar and continue pressing and moving the yarn
[10:11] Heat setting on the stove
heat for 30 minutes
[13:03] Dyeing round 2
Adding less water, only 2 cups of water at first (on 300 g yarn)
1 T of white vinegar per 100 g of yarn
[16:05] Heat setting the yarn
steam for 30 minutes in a steamer basket
[17:13] Variation between batches
[19:09] Leave No Dye Behind
[20:07] Washing the yarn
[22:18] The finished dry yarn
