[0:00] Introduction and Twisting the dry yarn
[1:16] The dye
Dharma True Black Acid Dye - a ~1.5% Stock solution
Plan - use 50 mL of the dye for each round, ~2.25 g dye total
[2:06] The dyebath
32 cups of water + 8 T white vinegar + 50 mL of the dye stock
[3:09] Dyeing Layer 1
Starting with dry yarn
Each round takes a while - 30 minutes or so for the colors to absorb
[5:56] Resetting the dyebath and Retwisting the yarn
[8:40] Dyeing round 2
[10:23] Untwisting the yarn
[12:41] Dyeing Round 3
After 30 minutes, turn off the heat and leave the yarn to cool in the pot.
[15:32] Washing the yarn
[17:40] The finished dry yarn
