In this video, we look at two examples of how small towns deal with the loss of tourism dollars in the off-season. Scalea, Italy and Gatlinburg, Tennessee are thousands of miles apart but suffer from the same problem: a loss to tourist traffic in the Winter. These two towns go about solving the problem in completely different ways.

Our review of the response to seasonal tourism dips will take a surprising detour to Moscow, Russia. It's Moscow that holds the answer to one town's loss of tourist traffic in the Winter. Perhaps the most interesting thing about this international marketing; it seems to have grown organically, started by a single small business.
