Palma is a cosmopolitan and sophisticated city, situated along a magnificent bay. At the Harbour, a sweeping promenade leads past marinas crammed with expensive yachts to the magnificent Gothic Cathedral founded in 1235 by the young King James I of Aragon. High above, rugged Bellver Castle guards Palma as it has done for centuries. This is a fine example of a military building of the 14th century and is surrounded by a pine wood where you can stroll trough several paths. In between, you will find superb shops, authentic tapas bars, cafes, restaurants and fountain-ornamented gardens. Enjoy!!!!!
