Adobe Photoshop: How to Add Motion Blur to a Photo

Video tutorial on how to add motion blur to a photo in Adobe Photoshop. This was done on Adobe Photoshop version CS5 on a Mac, but this also applies to other versions of Adobe Photoshop and on the Windows version as well.

Tools/Supplies Needed:
-Adobe Photoshop
-computer
-image

Procedure:
-first start by picking a photo you want to use for changing/editing the color
-make a copy of the image layer by dragging it down to the "new layer" tool, which will make a copy of the image layer
-now this step is optional, but does make the process a little easier and less confusing
-label the above layer as "body".
-make the "background" layer invisible, then selected the "polygonal lasso" tool
-make sure you have the "body" layer selected, using the "polygonal lasso" tool to select the portions of the image you don't want
-select any other portions of the image which you want to add motion blur to
-some areas may need a different motion blur than the other, this will depend on what you are trying to achieve
-sometimes you may also need to insert a certain portion of the image in a new window
-select the portion of the image layer you want to add a blur to, go to filter/blur/motion blur
-adjust the distance to your liking
-other types of motion blurs are available under the filter/blur option menu
-once you are satisfied with your image, you are ready save and you're done
