This video is a comparison of a dip belt vs weight vest for the purpose of weighted calisthenics exercises. Adding additional weight to calisthenics is extremely helpful for introducing measurable progressive overload, so it's something I definitely recommend doing. I've had a dip belt, also known as weighted belt, for the last 10 years or more (since I was an avid weight lifter). Then, after I abandoned the gym and found calisthenics, I saw a lot of people promoting a weighted vest for adding weight so I bought one of those too.
To keep the video short and sweet I decided to share my top 3 pros and cons of both of these pieces of weighted calisthenics equipment so you can make the right decision for your investment. Hopefully you find the video helpful.
