That statement should be impossible; we cannot change a natural gas appliance to liquid propane without changing the regulator and all the orifices -- except we can!

Many barbecue grills are manufactured overseas but are sold with recognized brand names so we have no idea who really made the appliance. Finding exact-fit orifices can be difficult or even impossible.
Converting a barbecue fron LP to NG means making a smaller opening into a bigger opening so we have an option of there are no exact-fit orifices available for a grill conversion. Converting Natural Gas to Propane means making an opening smaller which is impossible -- until now.

This is the technique we use to fill-in an orifice so we can re-drill the orifice with a different opening. The hole in the orifice determines the gas type and the actual BTU's burned. With the technique shown here we can turn a used orifice into an essentially new orifice so we can re-drill the opening to any BTU setting using NG or LP.
