****************************************************************IWell, this is my second Christmas installment. I must admit that I think this is the most beautiful of all Christmas Carols.
When I filmed and recorded this piece, I had just performed it only hours ago at my church. I tried desperately to capture the same feeling as before. I hope you enjoy it.
The melody for O Holy night was composed by a man by the name of Adolphe Adam in 1847. The lyrics came from a poem entitled "Minuit, Chretiens" written by Placide Cappeau, a wine merchant who was asked to pen the Christmas poem by a parish priest.
It is my sincerest wish, as Christmas becomes more and more of a "generic", and overly commercialized holiday, that the "true" meaning of Christmas will never be lost or forgotten. I want to wish everyone a most blessed Christmas season. God Bless.
