Hainanese Chicken Rice Series in Singapore: EP02 - Katong + Bugis Vlog

Dubbed the "Queen of Chicken Rice" by none other than Uncle Roger himself, my recent trip to Singapore was an exhilarating journey of taste and tradition. I took your recommendations to heart and embarked on a culinary adventure across the city-state, from high-end eateries to hidden gems.

In this brand-new series is dedicated to Singapore's national dish - Hainanese Chicken Rice, where I get to learn more about this iconic dish.

This episode follows next to one of Singapore's well-known and loved Hainanese chicken rice spots, "Katong Mei Wei Boneless Chicken Rice".

Here, the centre was full to the brim with customers enjoying their famous boneless chicken rice. I ordered an upsized version because I was so hungry, this was $10.40 for the drumstick, which included a free achar pickles and to my surprise, a lotus root soup!

My next stop wasn't too far away in Bugis, where I revisited one of the newer spots on my radar, "Chin Chin Eating House" - a Hainanese restaurant specialising in Chicken Rice. It was utterly faultless to me, but my hard-to-please mother disagreed!
