Hiking Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, Colorado | 4K

Lake Isabelle, Colorado Day Hike Video

Arrived at the Mitchell Lake trail head around 6:30 AM on 9/12. We were first stopped at a pay station where we paid $12 cash and then directed to park at the the Mitchell Lake parking lot.

From the Michell Lake parking lot, we walk down the road about .5 mile to a unmarked trail on the right. Once you hike that trail for about a mile, you will find the Long Lake parking lot and Trail head.

Form the start of the Long Lake trail head, Lake Isabelle is only 2 mile away. About a 1/4 mile in, you will see Long Lake. It is exactally that... long! When we hike, there was snow and ice on the trail but we didn't need spikes. It was about 41 degrees and super windy!!! Such a beautiful trail!
