Hiking McCullough Gulch in Breckenridge, Colorado | 4K

We started this trail around 6:30 AM on Saturday 7/25. It was about 41 degrees at the trailhead, There is not a designated parking lot for this trail, so you will just park on the dirt McCullough Road after passing the parking for Quandry Peak.

This trail was not crowded on our way up, but we did see plently of people on our way back. We hiked to the lower lake but I think most people that do this hike only hike to the waterfall.

The trail is hard to follow after the waterfall but we were able to make it. Just pay attention to the small rock markings to be sure that you're still on the right path. We were origionally planning to hike to the upper lake, but we could not find the trail... we will next time!
