The Mitford Girls, Musical, 1981, London Cast, Side 2
This delightful musical, with music by Peter Greenwell, and lyrics by Caryl Brahms and Ned Sherrin, tells the story of the Mitford sisters with pastiche music of the wild 1920's followed by the ominous 1930's. Included are some actual period songs by Noel Coward, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and others.
The sisters were portrayed by Patricia Hodge, Lucy Fenwick, Julia Sutton, Patricia Michael, Colette Gleeson, and Gay Soper. Oz Clarke portrayed multiple male roles.
