this soul capturing no. is a classic recorded by the late Olivia Newton John - a renowned British- Australian singer-songwriter , Grammy Award Winner an actress , activist and one of the best selling music artist.
The song was one of the original soundtracks from the all time hit American musical romantic-comedy movie - Grease (1978) starring the famous John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.
A Country-Pop no. the song was written and produced by John Farrar under the label RSO and was originally performed by Newton herself in the film.
The song was an instant hit. It peaked at no.2 in Australia , no.3 on the US billboard Hot 100 and no.7 in the Adult Contemporary Chart. and at no.20 on the Country chart. The song received an Oscar Nomination for Best Original Song.
This being one of my favorite no.'s is a small tribute to the eternal late - Olivia Newton John.
