I apologize for the rooster intro. This video is about an evaporator fan motor. Recently, my refrigerator gave out on me and I refuse to call a technician to come in. So I decided that being an electrical technician is going to self diagnose this one. Please note this must be performed by a trained electrician.

My old evaporator fan motor gave out and I had to self-diagnose the issue. Having someone who works in the refrigeration field was quite helpful to determine which part of the refrigerator was malfunctioning. On your refrigerator, there's a wiring diagram on the back which gives you a basic understanding of how the refrigerator is wired.

In this video we will learn how to tell the difference between an open motor winding and a close motor winding.
