Refrigerator Repair. (Diagnosing a Refrigerator defrost timer)

Diagnosing your appliance should be perform by someone with some level of competence in electrical/refrigeration. If you have no idea of where to start please contact your local technician to fix the problem.

This is a video in regards to a refrigerator that is freezing and not defrosting. Recently I had a refrigerator that was not functioning properly and decided to give it a swing for myself. The freezer was freezing but the fridge was not chilling. I took the time out and did a little diagnostics and found out that Refrigerator Timer was malfunctioning.

The refrigerator timer is responsible for running the compressor and the fan at the same time while changing over to a different setting after a period. An example of time cycle is 6hrs for running compressor and fan while the defrost setting changes to defrost mode.

In this video I will demonstrate how you use a multimeter to check the status a your time to see if your timer needs changing or not.
