Former D.A.: How to fight a "4th time DUI"
A former Los Angeles D.A. discusses strategies for fighting a 4th-time felony DUI in California. These include attacking the new charge, attacking the prior convictions, and/or a plea bargain to a lesser DUI offense.
Normally DUI in California is just a misdemeanor. But if it is your 4th offense within a 10-year period, then it becomes a felony. This carries a minimum of 1 year in jail or prison, and up to four years in jail or prison.
