The Sussex Vampire from The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire is one of the 12 stories published as The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in June 1927. It was first published in The Strand Magazine in 1924 and in Hearst's International Magazine.

It is another curious tale, not quite in the first rank featuring Peruvians, a trip to an old rambling house called Cheeseman's in Sussex, a mention of the Gloria Scott, the Giant Sumatran Rat and Holmes' comprehensive filing system. There is also some amusing banter between Holmes and Watson, and perhaps one of the quickest solutions to the problem in the whole canon.

It is read by Greg Wagland for Magpie Audio.
