Bonfire night. An annual event in Britain sprung around because of events that occurred on the 5th of November 1605.
History has told the story of the gunpowder plot and guy Fawkes has emerged as a legend for his part. The conspiracy to blow up parliament and the king, James I , by English Roman Catholics who lead by Robert Catesby, were angered by the king refusal to grant more religious tolerance to catholics.
