Update on my Joel Haver Oscar contest film The Man Who Started the Great Depression & World War II

Good news. Four weeks ago I submitted a film to Joel Haver's Make a Film Instead of Watching the Oscars Contest. My film was accepted into the competition. Joel only expected 20 or 30 people would submit a film. By the end of the contest, he had 582 entries.
I never expected to get accepted into the contest because my film wasn't long enough and it was not really much of a film. It was a wonderful story but it could have been on the radio.
I only found out about the contest about half an hour before the Oscars were over. This was all I could come up with in a few minutes.
I am hoping we learn soon when the Joel Haver Oscars are going to be. Joel said he may be adding some different and unusual category so if he adds the laziest and oldest filmmaker I might have a chance. On the other hand, I feel as if I've already won and accomplished everything I wanted to do with my video
Years ago when YouTube first started no one got any money for the videos. People made videos for fun just so people could watch them and provide some recognition and appreciation. I've already gotten that.
I hope the viewers on my channel will take some time and go watch a few of the movies to see if there's something they might like. And maybe, just maybe, next year they will try making some films themselves.

If I can do it, anybody can.
See you out there.

Robb Moffett

my eight recommendations . I've only watched about 40 of the film so far so I'm sure there are more just as good if not better.

I like the goofy adventures of Chuck and Warren. It's not Spielberg, but it made me smile the whole way through

Oysterworld
in oyster world, I love the story but I also loved how St. Bart used himself on a computer screen medical consultation to be the second character in his video.
I make a lot of videos by myself so I'm always interested to see how other people that make videos by themselves add extra characters. This was a wonderful story well done.

Merman
merman was so ambitious and loopy and fun.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBs4ccsG85k&list=PLKtIcOP0WvJA8qHfiwHwHJdBtbsfvSAyy&index=169
Loaf Lovers - Feature Film
the dialogue in this one was very natural and they were very bold to film so much outside at night.

The Tough Almond I think comedy is very hard to do especially in three hours. Also, I enjoyed that it was not in the United States because
it's always fun to see how other people view the world.

The Forever Bus wonderful exaggerated facial expressions during the car chase gunfights all by themselves were worth the price of the tickets and popcorn.
There was a lot of action for three hours. The Forever Bus

I Can Feel It Coming
this was one of my favorites. Maybe because it was relatable. However, it was very well well filmed also.

"Conversing Feces with Wet Nazis" - Barely Even Lived Yet: Part 2
if you can get past the weirdness of a person sitting on a toilet and the Nazis in the bathroom this has some of the funniest dialogue of any of the films I've seen so far.
