Severe flooding has left a profound impact on Esmeraldas Province in Ecuador. Floods affected numerous settlements in the cantons of Esmeraldas, Atacames, Kininda and Muisna. As a result, approximately 3000 homes have been damaged. About 11,000 people were directly affected.
