Rumentomy, foreign body operation, HF crossbreed cow, plastic, metalic foreign bodies,गायीचे आँपरेशन

HF cross breed cow , 7mth pregnant, history of Recurrent tympany , complete Offfeed, No rumination, No temperature,
On palpation of rumen, hard mass is palpated, no ruminal motility,
On auscultation reveal Trachicardia, and gurgling sound in reticulum, without ruminal movement.
Metallica foreign bodies diagnosed with metal detector
Operation done under local anesthesia.
Near about 50kg of plastic foreign bodies removed from rumen
Rumenotoric and pro/prebiotics placed in rumen while operation
Antibiotics , painkillers ,Bcomplex , Ascorbic acid and fluids (iv) were given for next 5days
Cow was feed with limited fodder and water for 8days
Then after gradually fodder water and concentrate increased

Rumentomy is done in Lockdown due to corona virus (COVID 19) situation at Nashik.
