Freelander. Car won’t rev or start? Crank sensor & Glow plug test and change - Delphi versus cheap

Won’t rev over 3000 rpm? Car wont start? Want to know how to test and change glow plugs? The solutions are here, with some guidelines on what things to test to narrow in on the problem of a diesel car not starting.
Three issues on a Freelander TD4 fixed here. (Same M47 engine in BMW 320d etc.). The refusal to rev was a poorly fitted crank sensor. The refusal to start was due to all the glow plugs having failed. First I used cheap (Chinese?) glow plugs. The car started but not too smoothly, so I then changed to more expensive Delphi glow plugs. You can see the difference in the time to start glowing as shown in the video.
