Key Fob Fix / Renovation - Freelander, MG, Rover, Landrover - Lucas 3TXB 2 Button Remote Fob

Intermittent or failing key fob? Here’s how to renovate and fix some common wear issues with the Lucas 2 button fob used in Rover, MG and Landrover cars. The push button switches can corrode and become difficult, the button end may detach, both fixed by soldering on a new button. Battery and case also changed with parts only about £4. Make yourself a nice new remote fob! This job was on the Lucas 3TXB fob, may be applicable to other models.
