Crankshaft position sensor replacement - Land Rover Freelander 2 / LR2

Filmed this video after breaking down. Engine was lurching/jerking under acceleration and then cut out completely and wouldn’t restart. “Reduced Engine Performance” shown on the instrument display. Got it going again by disconnecting the battery and then limped home.

Issue was due to a faulty crankshaft position sensor which I replace in the second half of this video.

2009 Land Rover Freelander 2 XS

LR000681 is the part number for vehicles up to VIN AH999999 (2006-2010). LR056028 is the part number for vehicles from VIN BH000001 onwards (2011 and later)
