Illnesses continue to spike in North Carolina

A wave of illnesses continues to impact families in the Carolinas. New data shows flu cases spiked in North Carolina, with more than 7,000 cases reported by hospitals during the week of Christmas. That's a 68% increase from the week before. In addition to the flu and COVID, a measles case was confirmed in North Carolina and its believed to be related to the South Carolina outbreak. State officials say they're bracing for more cases to hit the state.
