Mercedes S500 Parking Brakes Adjustment - Automatic Cable Slack Adjustment

If you have to floor the emergency/parking brake pedal before the brakes are engaged, then you need to adjust your parking brakes.
This procedure is simple and a novice can do it with the right tools. Reserve half a day if novice in auto mechanics. The same procedure may apply to 2000 S430 and later S500 and S430 models. In fact, most Mercedes Benz cars require that the Cable Slack Adjuster be pre-tensioned prior and relieved after the Brakes adjustment. So, this process may apply to many other MB models.
