Mercedes W210 Emergency or Parking Brake Shoes Replacement

The parking brake is not just used when parking on sloping surfaces but also in emergencies when the hydraulic brakes malfunction or even in addition to the hydraulic brakes in certain scenarios.

The Mercedes parking shoes have not changed much from model to model in decades. While this video shows the procedure to replace the shoes on a W210, the procedure applies to pretty much most Benz models. The only difference may be in the location of the Automatic Cable Slack adjuster.
