This foreclosure in Bakersfield, CA is sitting on the market with very few interested buyers. Why? Well, it is overpriced for one. But perhaps more importantly, it's way too big.

At six bedrooms and nearly 6,000 SF, it is a McMansion. And right now McMansions are struggling to sell because home builders built homes too big over the last 20 years.

Now the average household size in America is declining, more people are living alone, and fewer people are having kids - so why would anyone need a house this big in 2023?

Watch for more McMansions to sit on the market for sale in coming years.
